O R D E R

The petitioner with a grievance that the name of the petitioner has been changed during the UDR has submitted an application to the Tahsildar to correct the same. The Tahsildar has conducted an enquiry and found that changes have been made during the UDR and has referred the matter to the Revenue Divisional officer and the Revenue Divisional Officer, who in turn has referred the matter to the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the application of the petitioner is pending for the past two years. Hence, this petition.

2.Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents on instructions submits that the enquiry has already been conducted on 20.04.2023 and order is yet to be passed.

3.Considering the rival submissions made that the petitioner's application is pending without any orders for the past two years and the enquiry has already been completed on 20.04.2023, this writ petition is disposed of. The District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar shall take a call and pass orders on the petitioner's application within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
