ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 12.03.2025 and pass final orders within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.P.Surendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, the property with an extent of 4 acres 50 cents in Survey No.1196/1 was given to the petitioner's grandfather, V.Rayappan, under a conditional patta. After death of Rayappan, petitioner's father, R.Jeyapaul Chinnadurai, enjoyed the property and the same is in possession of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation on 12.03.2025 seeking entry of his name in the revenue records. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, by relying on G.O(Ms)No.1168, Revenue Department, dated 25.07.1989 would submit that there is a ban on assignment of agriculture lands in mountain areas.
5. In view of the said stand taken by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.03.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and communicate the said order to the petitioner.
