Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant emergency parole leave to the petitioner's brother namely S. Arumugam (Life Convict Prisoner No.5332) for a period of two months to assist his 70 years old mother treatment and family arrangement, who is presently confined at Central Prison, Madurai in connection with murder case in Crime No.847 of 2004 on the file of Alangulam Police Station, Tirunelveli District. By passing appropriate order on the representation submitted by the petitioner on 09.09.2019 and within a time frame fixed by this Court.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to grant emergency parole leave to the petitioner's brother namely S. Arumugam (Life Convict Prisoner No.5332) for a period of two months to assist his 70 years old mother treatment and family arrangement, who is presently confined at Central Prison, Madurai in connection with murder case in Crime No.847 of 2004 on the file of Alangulam Police Station, Tirunelveli District and also sought for a direction to pass an appropriate order on the representation submitted by the petitioner on 09.09.2019 and within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. Based on a representation, dated 09.09.2019 the petitioner seeking emergency parole leave to his brother A. Arumugam who is life convicted for a period of Two months to assist his 70 years old mother with her treatment and family arrangement. The said request was considered by the respondent and recommended the case of the petitioner's brother by a communication, dated 18.10.2019 in reference No.16981/Tha.Koo.2/2019 to the Deputy General of Prison, Madurai and the same is pending for consideration. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. Considering the facts and circumstances, the Deputy General of Prison, Madurai is directed to consider the request of the petitioner on the strength of the recommendation forwarded by the respondent herein, dated 18.10.2019 and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of Two weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of the order. No costs.
