This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to give compensation for damaging the petitioners' paddy crops with regard to lands comprised in Survey No.154/11B to an extent of 3 Acres and Survey No.145A/12 to an extent of 3 Acres 75 cents and Survey No.83/7C to an extent of 5 acres and 25 cents is situated Ragammalpuram Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District based on the petitioners' representation dated 13.03.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the Writ Petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 13.03.2018, after 2/4

affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and dispose of the claim petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
