This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission to conduct the temple festival in Sri Muniayya Swami Koil situated at Moongiloorani, Mangulam Panchayat, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, basing on a representation given by the petitioner on 11.08.2023.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that in case a fresh application is filed by the petitioner, the Police, by giving notice to all the concerned parties, will consider and dispose of the same.

Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents , this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to approach the respondents Police by filing a fresh application, on which, the respondents Police are directed to dispose of the same keeping in view of the fact that the temple festival is scheduled to be held tomorrow (i.e.,) 18.08.2023. There shall be no order as to costs. 17.08.2023 NCC :
