This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondents to issue a non-traceable certificate to the petitioner in respect or original sale deeds registered as document No.1711/1976 dated 30.10.1976, 417/1977 dated 21.03.1977, 1477/1977 dated 12.07.1977 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Aranthangi based on the complaint dated 26.06.2023 and subsequent representations dated 12.07.2023 and 14.07.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has lost original sale deeds registered as document No.1711/1976 dated 30.10.1976, 417/1977 dated 21.03.1977, 1477/1977 dated 12.07.1977 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Aranthangi and on which, in order to get a photocopy of the documents from the concerned Sub Registrar Office, the petitioner has filed an application dated 26.06.2023, 12.07.2023 and 14.07.2023 before the second respondent Police to issue non traceable certificate and the said petition is pending.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that incase, if the petitioner is directed to appear before the police concerned, the police will dispose of this application and provide necessary certificate after 2/4

following the requirements in respect of issuance of non-traceable certificate as directed in the guidelines issued by the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Chennai-4, dated 01.04.2022.

4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear before the concerned police and complete the formalities. On which, the respondent police are directed to issue necessary directions as expeditiously as possible.
