PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the Impugned Tender Notification issued by the 3rd respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.A6/1931/2022 dated 27.06.2023 and quash the same as illegal and in consequently direct the first respondent to constitute a block level committee as per the guidelines annexed in the G.O.(Ms) No.81 of Rural Development and Panchayat raj (S.G.S.1) Department dated 13.06.2023 and to select the works under Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam (AGAMT).

The petitioner, who is an Union Councilor for Ward No. 3, Uppiliyapuram Panchayat Union, Trichy District has filed this writ petition challenging the tender notification issued by the third respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.A6/1931/2022 dated 27.06.2023 on the ground that a Committee as contemplated under G.O.(Ms) No.81 of Rural Development and Panchayat raj (S.G.S.1) Department dated 13.06.2023 has not been constituted and without 2/5

constituting the Committee, the works have been identified and tender applications have been invited.

2.In response to this writ petition, the third respondent has filed a detailed counter affidavit taking a specific stand that the committee has already been constituted as per the Government order in G.O.(Ms) No.81 of Rural Development and Panchayat raj (S.G.S.

1) Department dated 13.06.2023 and this Committee alone has identified the works, based on which, tender notification has been issued. Therefore, there is no need to interfere with the notification. 3.Recording the above submission, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
