PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to remove the encroachment made by the 7th respondent on the Government poramboke land comprising in Old Survey No.950 and some of the sub-divisions of the new Survey Nos.1638, 1644, 1645, 1646 and 1648 situated at Sankaralingapuram Village, Ondipulinayakkanoor Revenue, Virudhunagar Taluk and District by considering the petitioner's representation sent to the respondents 1 to 6 dated 06.06.2025 within the time frame as fixed by this Court. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) With reference to the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6, based on the written instructions of the 4th respondent, vide letter dated 30.07.2025, would submit that the subject property is a vast extent of land and the authorities competent are in the process of conducting survey and they will conduct survey in respect of the land in entirety. He would further submit that if any encroachments are identified, the same will be removed by following the procedures as contemplated under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905.
2.In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents to complete the said process, within a period of four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
