O R D E R
The present Habeus Corpus Petition has been listed in the additional list consequent to the production of the daughter of the petitioner N.Krishnaveni aged about 19 years.
2. The petition has been filed by the father of the detenue complaining that his second daughter who is aged about 18 years was born on 06.06.2006 had been missing from 17.08.2024. She had completed XII standard and was working as a daily wage employee at A.K.U. Farmhouse Poultry in Elurpatti, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District. The petition has been filed after a complaint was given to the second respondent, Kattuputhur Police Station, Trichy District who had registered First Information Report in Crime No. 227 of 2024 under the caption 'Woman Missing'. The petitioner suspected that the third respondent who was already married twice would have enticed his daughter.
3. We would place our appreciation to the second respondent, the Inspector of Police, Kattuputhur Police Station, Trichy District who was able to secure the daughter of the petitioner herein. She is present in 2/5
Court. We have enquired with her and she expressed inclination to go with her father/petitioner herein who is also present in Court. We suitable advised her not to take any sudden decision but rather to explore the possibility of acquiring any technical qualification in view of the fact that she had completed XII standard. We also enquired with the petitioner and suitably advised him that what happened has happened and he must now take care of the second daughter/detenue.
4. We must also place our appreciation on the efforts taken by Mr. T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor and we have requested him to explore the possibility, through schemes of the government, to get some technical qualification like tailoring to the detenue who just completed 18 years and had completed her XII standard. We are confident that some steps would be taken in this regard.
5. Since the detenue had been secured and handed over to the petitioner, no further order is required to be passed in this petition. 3/5
