It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has purchased a car from the third respondent and initially, he has paid some advance, in respect of the balance amount, he has given a cheque in favour of the third respondent and even after making full payment and after transferring the registration in favour of the petitioner, the third respondent has failed to return the cheque and basing on which, he has filed a false complaint, thereby, the respondent Police are harassing.

Mr.G.R.Sathish, Advocate, appearing for respondent No.3 submitted that the third respondent has sold the motor vehicle to the petitioner in the year 2017 itself on receiving of entire consideration. However, in the year 2019, the petitioner has approached him and borrowed a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- and in discharge of the same, the petitioner has given a cheque for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- and that cheque given by the petitioner is nothing to do with the transaction in respect of the motor vehicle. It is also submitted by third respondent that some unidentified persons came to his house on 07.08.2023 and threatened him, in respect of which, he has filed a complaint before the respondent Police.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the complaint filed by the petitioner and also the complaint filed by the third respondent, both of them are pending for enquiry and requested short time to complete the enquiry.

5. Considering the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, this petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the enquiry in both petitions by following due process of law and dispose of the same as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
