The above petition has been filed seeking orders to condone the delay of 35 days in filing the appeal, challenging the award passed in M.C.O.P.No.985 of 2023 dated 05.03.2025 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal / Special Subordinate Court, Thanjavur.

2. Despite receipt of notice, the second respondent has not turned up.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.

4. Considering the reasons assigned and taking note of the quantum of delay, this Court is inclined to condone the delay. Accordingly, this petition is ordered and the Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order and list it for admission in the usual course.
