ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/ Accused No.1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 417, 376 and 506 (1)IPC, in Cr.No.239 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner by giving a false promise that he will marry the defacto complainant, had sexual intercourse with her. Thereafter, refused to marry her. Hence the complaint.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

No.18240 of 2021 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that on the false promise, the petitioner had sexual intercourse with the defacto complainant and the investigation is pending. 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the alleged offence and considering the fact that the investigation is pending and also the fact that the petitioner is the main accused in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
