Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate action against the sixth respondent for his illegal activities of conducting Katta Panchayat (Kangaroo Court) and excommunication of the petitioner and others and imposing fine in Posampatti Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

The petitioner has already given a complaint. 4.The third respondent is directed to enquire into the matter and take action as per law, after issuing notice to the parties concerned. Such exercise will be concluded within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
