ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the application dated 07.07.2025 bearing Application No. 2025/0123/22/010518 submitted by the petitioner for survey and subdivision of property bearing S.No.50/2 situated at Melapattu Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.Gnana Gurunathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, his father purchased 66 cents out of one acre and 20 cents in S.No.50/2 under a sale deed dated 25.01.1699. The subject property was settled by the petitioner's father in favour of the petitioner and his siblings under a settlement dated 03.10.2016. The petitioner submitted an application on 07.07.2025 in Application No. 2025/0123/22/010518 seeking a survey and subdivision of the property purchased by his father, and the same has not been considered. Hence, he has come to this court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents, submits that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 07.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
