O R D E R

The petitioner in R.C.O.P.No.162 of 2018 on the file of the II Additional District Munsif Court, Madurai Town is the revision petitioner herein. She filed I.A.No.2 of 2024 for directing the respondent to deposit the rent. The Court below dismissed the said I.A. on the ground that the issue regarding the 1/4

existence of landlord and tenant relationship has to be determined and since serious cloud has been raised, it is not possible to allow the I.A. Questioning the same, the present civil revision petition has been filed. 2.I do want to go into the merits of the matter. The R.C.O.P. was filed way back in the year 2018. It is six years old. The Hon'ble Apex Court has been emphasizing that cases should not be kept pending beyond five years. I, therefore, direct the learned II Additional District Munsif, Madurai Town to dispose of R.C.O.P.No.162 of 2018 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.The civil revision petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 12.09.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No ias To:
