Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent herein to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at S.No.839/1 and 2, Anbu Nagar, Panavilai, Sungankadai Post, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District in the joint names of petitioner and the fifth respondent trust on the base of property Vacant land tax receipts issued by the Corporation and without insisting for production of NOC from the 5th respondent trust authority and on the basis of the petitioner new electricity connection application within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4.
2. In Similar circumstances, this Court has already passed an order in the case of J.Latha Vs. The Chairman, TANGEDCO and others 2/6
(W.P(MD)No.2422 of2025, dated 28.01.2025). The relevant portion of the order reads as under:
"By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself. 2.This writ petition is filed to direct the fourth respondent herein to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at S.No.839/1 and 2, Anbu Nagar, Panavilai, Sungankadai Post, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari District in the joint names of the petitioner and the 5th respondent trust on the basis of the above property vacant land tax receipts issued by the Corporation and without insisting for production of NOC from the fifth respondent Trust authority on the basis of the petitioner new electricity connection application.
3.Heard the learned counsels on either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.
4.The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, on instructions, submitted that earlier the writ petition was filed in this regard by the petitioner, and this Court directed the petitioner to produce NOC from the 5th respondent Trust, and on receipt of the same, the respondent corporation was directed to provide an electricity connection. However, the fact remains that the petitioner had made an application without producing an NOC from the Trust and hence the respondent Corporation is not in a position to provide him with an electricity connection now.
5.In view of the same, now, this Court hereby direct the respondent corporation to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner without insisting the petitioner to provide an NOC from the 5th respondent trust within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on the petitioner new application.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs."
3. The writ petition stands allowed in terms of the above observations. No costs.
