O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner was working as Village Administrative Officer. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.08.2012. Disciplinary action was pending against him. Therefore he was not allowed to retire. Even second show cause notice was issued in the year 2019, the petitioner's grievance is that till date the matter had not attained finality. Hence as a result, he has been deprived of his terminal benefits. That led to the filing of this writ petition.

3. The respondents are not justified in keeping the disciplinary action pending for all these years. The first respondent is directed to conclude the proceedings and pass 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.22322 OF 2022 appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The only direction that has been given is that the proceedings must be finalised. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
