The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide necessary police protection to petitioner and her family members, on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2018.

3. Initially the petitioner lodged a complaint before the third respondent police. On the said complaint, the third respondent has registered the F.I.R and thereafter, it was closed as 'mistake of fact'. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10608 of 2018 enquiry. Therefore, this petition is devoid of merits. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint on a fresh cause of action. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
