This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to transfer the investigation in Crime No.4 of 2018, on the file of the fourth respondent to any other impartial investigating officer not below the rank of Inspector of Police and investigate the crime in accordance with law.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the investigation has been carried on by the fourth respondent in a fair and impartial manner, however in order to circumvent the grievance of the petitioner, a direction may be issued to the second respondent/Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rameshwaram to monitor the investigation and the final report may be filed under his supervision.

3.Recording the above submission, a direction is issued to the second respondent to monitor the investigation, conducted by the fourth respondent and the final report shall be filed after his approval.
