ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to transfer the investigation by appointing any other investigation officer not below the rank of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, and file a final report in Crime No.2 of 2017 pending before the 4th respondent herein within the stipulated time limit as fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner herein is the victim, who have been cheated by APSAL Finance and Investment India Limited, Madurai. The petitioner is a depositor of the said company. It is the specific grievance of the petitioner that the said finance company had defrauded her to the tune of Rs.64,000/-. In this regard, an FIR has already been registered in Crime No.2 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 120B, 406, 420, 511 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Prize Chit and Money Crl. Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978. However, there is no substantial progress in the investigation till date. Despite the existence of a large number of victims who are similarly placed as the petitioner, no effective 2/4

steps have been taken by the investigating agency. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that the investigation has been completed and a final report has also been filed before the TANPID Court, Madurai, through online in E-Filing No.LTN20230002993C202500006 on 29.12.2025. However, it has not been taken on file.

4. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report, by filing a petition seeking further investigation under Section 173(8) Cr.P.C., / 193 (9) BNSS, 2023, if not satisfied by the manner in which final report is filed.
