Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to permit the writ petitioner to continue to perform the 1st Day Mandagapadi and Grauda Seva of Brahmotsavam Festival conducted in the Tamil Month Purattasi at Arulmigu Kalyana Venkataramana Swamy Temple, Thanthonimalai, Karur scheduled to be held on 23.09.2022 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2022 and in future within a time limit fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent to permit the petitioner to continue to perform the 1st Day Mandagapadi and Grauda Seva of Brahmotsavam Festival conducted in the Tamil Month Purattasi at Arulmigu Kalyana Venkataramana Swamy Temple, Thanthonimalai, Karur, which is scheduled to be held on 23.09.2022.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the second respondent on 16.09.2022 seeking permission to conduct the said festival on 23.09.2022, but no orders have been passed on the said representation.

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the 1st Respondent and Mr.M.Saravanan, learned counsel, takes notice for the 2nd Respondent.

As a matter of fact, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the 2nd Respondent that certain objections were received from the Respondents 3 to 5 on 12.09.2022 and to resolve the issue amicably, a request was made to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Karur to convene a peace committee meeting. It is also submitted that the peace committee meeting was not able to arrive at any decision. At this stage, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the second respondent that the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2022 would be disposed of by the second respondent tomorrow (22.09.2022) and he also undertakes that suitable orders will be passed, after hearing the petitioner and the other parties, namely, the Respondents 3 to 5, in accordance with law.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the 2nd Respondent, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
