ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct an enquiry and cancel the forged Patta Nos.59, 161 and 2031, issued in favour of the private respondents 4 to 6, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 09.07.2025. 2.Heard the arguments of M/s.K.Yasar Arafath, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Since no adverse order is passed against the respondents 4 to 6, notice to them is dispensed with.

3.By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4.According to the petitioner, her husband, Kalimuthu owned properties in various survey numbers in two villages, called Mattangal and Pudupatti. The private respondents are children born to the petitioner's husband through his deceased first wife, Pavun Ammal. After the death of his first wife, Kalimuthu married the petitioner and through the petitioner two children were born to him. After death of Kalimuthu, the private respondents suppressing the existence of the other legal heirs, namely, the second wife and the children born through her and also the pendency of the civil suit, obtained patta exclusively in their names in respect of the properties owned by Kallimuthu in Patta Nos. 59, 161 and 2031. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner submitted a representation on 09.07.2025 before the official respondents seeking cancellation of patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, private respondents 4 to 6 and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
