ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent/the Inspector General of Registration at Chennai to expedite the enquiry pertaining to the appeal of the petitioner dated 21.09.2021 which appeal had been preferred against the order of the second respondent/the District Registrar, Pattukkottai which order was dated 14.06.2021.

2. Heard Mr.K.Baalasundharam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.John Rajadurai, learned Government Advocate who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. It is seen from the records that an appeal before the first respondent is pending from 21.09.2021. Naturally, the first respondent will also give priority to matters which had been filed earlier and in which the litigants are waiting to the matters to be heard. But however, a direction is given to the first respondent, to make every endeavour to hear the said appeal and dispose the same on or before 30.04.2022.

4. With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
