ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by PUSHPA SATHYANARAYANA, J.) The writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 5, to take appropriate steps to give the land in 1/3

S.Nos.336/3A and 336/3C, to the Educational Authorities at Dindigul, for construction of the High School at Sirankattupatty Village and consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2021. 2.

The petitioner would state that he is a resident of Sirankattupatty Village and doing agriculture. The Government of Tamil Nadu was pleased to sanction a High School to the said village. According to the petitioner, there is a vacant land in S.Nos.336/3A and 336/3C, to an extent of 1.22.50 hectares, in Sirankattupatty Village, which belongs to Sri Karuppasamy Kovil, Kambiliyampatty, is suitable for construction of the High School. The said lands, which called as kovil maniyam, are under the control of the Poojaries of the said Kovil namely, Palani Servai and Nallapitachan. The Panchayat President of Sirankattupatty Village and villagers approached the said poojaries, requesting to give the land in the said survey numbers, for construction of the High School and it is stated that those Poojaries also consented for the same.

Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 20.10.2021, requesting the authorities of the HR & CE Department, to provide the said land to the Educational Authorities, for construction of the High School. Since no order has been passed on the representation, this writ petition is filed.

The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would state that suitable orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2021. 4.

In view of the above submission, the 1st respondent, Commissioner HR & CE, is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.10.2021, and give his recommendations, within a period of four weeks.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
