ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's passport application dated 21.04.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate for the second respondent submits that the petitioner is an accused in three FIRs registered against him as detailed below:

S.No Crime No. Section of Law Stage of the case 256/2017 294(b), 323 IPC STC No.1115 of 2017 before District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Papanasam, convicted and fine imposed 314/2022 294(b), 341, 354, 323, 324 and 506(2) of IPC Charge sheet filed by way of e-filing on 26.03.2025, not taken on file.

918/2022 294(b), 324, 506(2) of IPC, 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, Charge sheet filed, taken on file in C.C.No.46 of 2023 before District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Papanasam.

3. The above table indicates that one criminal case is pending against the petitioner before the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Papanasam, 2/4

in C.C.No.46 of 2023.

4. Considering the same, there can be no positive direction to the first respondent to process the petitioner's passport application. It is open to the petitioner to move appropriate application before the concerned Court for appropriate relief for the first respondent to process the passport application.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above liberty. There shall be no order as to costs.
