This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission for conducting promotional activities in connection with the release of the film "GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in front of Pavalam Parvathi and Lucky Theatres, Periyakulam, Theni District on the basis of the representation, dated 28.08.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner has to approach the Municipal Corporation for getting permission and not the Police authority for conducting promotional activities in connection with the release of the film.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned authorities. No costs. 04.09.2024 das 2/4
