ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application filed in the year 2013, to register himself as Contractor in the Kovilpatti Panchayat Union.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent had produced the letter addressed by the respondent to him in Na.Ka.No.A2/1037/2015, dated 11.02.2023. In the said letter the respondent had intimated that the application of the petitioner along with 10 others were rejected by the resolution of the Panchayat, dated 23.03.2015, since there were 40 persons, who had registered as contractors. The said letter is taken on record. 2/4

Since the petitioner's application had been rejected based upon the resolution, dated 23.03.2015 in resolution No.27 of the Kovilpatti Panchayat, no further adjudication is required to be made in this writ petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge such resolution, if he is so advised.

4. In view of the aforesaid facts, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
