[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to remove the encroachments made by the third respondent in the Government Odai comprised in Survey Nos.1056, 770/2, 773/2, 774/2, 775/1, 796/2, 795/2, 797/2, 761/1 and 761/2 and 685 in Putheri Tank in Irukkanthurai Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned for the Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the encroachment, as projected by the petitioner, has been removed and to that effect, he has also produced a copy of the status report of the second respondent before this Court.

3. Recording the above submission and leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the authority concerned, if any further encroachment is noticed, the writ petition is closed. No costs. [R.M.D., J.] [J.S.N.P., J.] 29.09.2022 Index :
