ORDER

The petitioner with an allegation that his fencing has been damaged by the private respondent has lodged a complaint before the respondent Police and has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to take action on his complaint. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents submits that based on the petitioner's complaint, they have initiated petition enquiry in CSR.No.251 of 2025 dated 20.05.2025 and they have issued summons on 13.07.2025 for the appearance of the petitioner for enquiry, on 14.07.2025. However, the petitioner did not appear for the enquiry and therefore, they have not proceeded further with the enquiry.

3.The petitioner has lodged a complaint on 20.05.2025. The content of the complaint is that the petitioner's fencing has been damaged by the private respondent. This complaint has been treated as petition enquiry in CSR.No.251 of 2025. It appears that the respondent Police has woken up only in the month of July and issued summons on 13.07.2025 for the appearance of the petitioner on 14.07.2025 and now, they have claimed that they have not taken any action, since the petitioner did not co-operate. Therefore, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Paramakudi Sub Division, Ramanathapuram District is directed to look into this issue and verify the manner in which the petitioner's complaint has been treated and also take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
