ORDER
The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's vendor's vendor has applied for agricultural electricity service connection in the year 1988 and therefore the same has to be treated as per seniority and electricity service connection has to be provided.
2.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent electricity Board submits that one Udayarani has applied for electricity service connection in the year 1988. Thereafter she did not follow the application. Subsequently one Palsamy purchased the property in the year 1988 and from the said Palsamy the petitioner has purchased the property in the year 2015. The petitioner after purchasing the property in the year 2015 seeks electricity service connection based on the application submitted by the said Udayarani in the year 1988. 3.This Court considered the rival submissions and perused the materials placed on record.

4.Though the petitioner's vendor's vendor has made an application in the year 1988 for electricity service connection, she subsequently sold the property to one Palsamy, who in turn sold it to the petitioner. According to the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents the application submitted in the year 1988 was not subsequently followed up.
5.Since the petitioner made a representation in the year 2015 claiming seniority from the year 1988, the respondent electricity Board shall treat the representation of the petitioner dated 20.10.2015 as an application made by the petitioner for electricity service connection and seniority shall also be allotted as on 20.10.2015 and provide electricity service connection as per that seniority. 6.The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 06.11.2023 dsk 3/5
