PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the ''Adal Padal'' Programme on 23.9.2022 at 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm in connection with ''Thiru Vizha'' of Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Thirukovil at Gandhi Nagar, Rameswaram, Ramanathapuram District. 1/4

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the ''Adal Padal'' Programme on 23.9.2022 at 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm in connection with ''Thiru Vizha'' of Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Thirukovil at Gandhi Nagar, Rameswaram, 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor vehemently objected that in entire District of Ramanathapuram, there was a 144 orders from 08.09.2022 to 31.10.2022.

3.In the light of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the District Collector of Ramanathapuram District is impleaded suo motu, as a proper and necessary party, as District Magistrate of the District concerned dealing with Law and Order issues. 2/4

4. This Petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Collector as well as the Superintendent of Police concerned to pass appropriate orders. No costs.
