O R D E R

The Communication, dated 16.02.2015, issued by the first respondent, is sought to be quashed. Consequently, a direction is sought for to direct the respondents to carry-out necessary corrections in the online application of the petitioner.

2. Admittedly, the Writ Petitioner has committed some mistakes while filling-up the online application. Subsequently, she submitted an application to amend the same. The Authority Competent rejected the request by stating that all the particulars are to be provided with online application and thereafter, the Authorities cannot amend the date of brith.

This Court is of the considered opinion that it is the responsibilities of the candidates to ensure that the particulars provided in the online applications are correct and true to the best of their knowledge. If at all any mistake is committed, it is a ground to reject the application in limini.

4. In the present case, the application of the Writ Petitioner was rejected and her request to amend the date of brith was also not considered by the Authority. The Recruitment was conducted in the year 2014 and now, after a lapse of 6 years, the question of amending the online application or providing an appointment would not arise at all. The Writ Petitioner is at liberty to participate in the process of recruitment, if any notified by the Authority Competent.

5. With these observations, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
