ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by the wife of the deceased employee of the first respondent transport corporation, seeking a mandamus to direct the first respondent to rectify the petitioner's father-in-law's name as Raj instead of Raju in the petitioner's husband's service register. The petitioner has further prayed for settlement of the terminal benefits of her husband based upon her representation, dated 08.08.2024.
2.As far as the first part of the prayer is concerned, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first and second respondent herein submits that they would rectify the name of the employee's father and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said submission is recorded. As far as the second part of the prayer for disbursement of terminal benefits is concerned, it is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel 2/4
that the terminal benefits would be released on the basis of seniority maintained based on the date of retirement.
3.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
