PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No. 481 of 2021 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A4, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.11.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 5 & 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 in Crime No.481 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were said to be in possession of prohibited lottery tickets. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would also submit that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 07.11.2021, hence he seeks bail. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner is having similar previous cases and some of the accused are still absconding. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.18315 of 2021 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of offence alleged to have been committed by the petitioner and also considering the quantum of amount and other articles recovered from the petitioner and also the facts that the investigation is not yet completed and that some of the accused are yet to be arrested, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this point of time.
