For Petitioner : Mr.R.Anandharaj For R1 & R2 : Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar Government Advocate (Crl.) O R D E R The petitioner entered into an inter-caste marriage with one Suresh Kumar. This was opposed by her father who has been shown as the third respondent. Seeking police protection, the petitioner gave the complaint.

2. When the matter was enquired into, the third respondent appeared before the Thilagar Thidal Police Station and has given a written undertaking that he will not interfere in the marital life of his daughter and that he will not cause any threat or harm to his daughter or son-in-law. If the third respondent breaches the undertaking and any complaint is received from the petitioner or her husband, the second respondent is directed to take appropriate action. Caste is a bane of our society and through inter-caste marriages alone, this evil will vanish.
