PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2022, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court and directing the respondents No.1 to 4 to grant permission to conduct the temple festival of "Kuthirai Eduppu" from 27.09.2022 to 05.10.2022 at Vaviyarenthal Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District by inviting all the villagers to participate in the temple festival without there being any discrimination.

[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2022 within a time frame and directing the respondent Nos.1 to 4 to grant permission to conduct the temple festival of "Kuthirai Eduppu" from 27.09.2022 to 05.10.2022 at Vaviyarenthal Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District by inviting all the villagers to participate in the temple festival without there being any discrimination.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader submitted that in the year 2018, a peace committee meeting was taken place and both the parties arrived at a conclusion, so as to conduct the temple festival of "Kuthirai Eduppu" at Vaviyarenthal Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District, in a peaceful manner. He further submitted that the undertaking given by both parties in the year 2018 will also be taken into consideration while granting permission for the festival scheduled to be held from 27.09.2022 to 05.10.2022, for which, the learned counsel for the petitioner also agreed upon.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
