PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the first respondent herein to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner's life and limb, in the light of the petitioner's representation, dated 05.08.2023, within a stipulated period as may be fixed by this Court. O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner, basing on the representation given by her, dated 05.08.2023.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that, the third respondent was in relationship with the petitioner and on account of issues between them, the third respondent has sent some antisocial elements and threatened the petitioner with dire consequences, basing on which, a representation has been given to the second respondent Police by the petitioner. The respondent Police has not taken any action, thereby, sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on the other hand, submits that, the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.08.2023, has been numbered as C.S.R.No.100 of 2023 and enquiry is pending and submitted that, within a short time, the enquiry will be completed. It is also submitted that, in case, if the contents of the complaint filed by the petitioner are correct, the 2/4

respondent Police will take stern action against the unofficial respondent. The same is recorded.

4. Considering the submissions made by either sides and on perusal of records, this criminal original petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation in C.S.R.No.100 of 2023 as quickly as possible not later than within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
