This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned auction notification, dated 10.11.2021 issued by the second respondent and consequently, to direct the second respondent to give priority to the members of the petitioner association by allotting shops that are constructed at Multilevel Car Parking of Old Central Market, Madurai.
2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, a fresh auction notification was issued, in which, members of the petitioner association have also participated. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the successful tenderers may be allotted with the shops by the second respondent. 3.The learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent, on instructions, would submit that successful bidders in the fresh notification called for by the second respondent will be allotted the shops at Multilevel Car Parking of Old Central Market, Madurai. If the members of the petitioner association are the successful bidders in respect of the shops, on instructions, he would submit that the second respondent Corporation undertakes to allot the shops to them. The said statement is recorded.
4.The learned Counsel for the petitioner is satisfied with the statement made by the learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent.
5.After recording the submissions made by the respective Counsels, this Writ Petition is disposed of in terms thereof. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
