O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by C.V.Karthikeyan, J.) This order shall be read in conjunction with and as a continuation of the earlier proceedings recorded during the previous listing on 01.09.2025, which reads as follows:- ''This matter had been listed today, since it has been mentioned by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. It relates to a young child, a boy, who studying in 9th Standard at Linga Matriculation School, at Thirumangalam, who had run away from the house and has been missing on and from 21.07.2025. In this connection, a complaint has been lodged and F.I.R. in Crime No.257 of 2025 had been registered under the caption "Boy Missing" by the second respondent, the Inspector of Police, Thirumangalam Town Police Station.

3. We must appreciate the efforts taken by the second respondent, the Inspector of Police, Thirumangalam Police Station, who was able to secure the boy. It has been informed to us that he had gone over to Bangalore and later was working at Coimbatore. The reason he took the drastic decision was due to the strict approach of his Maths Teacher. He has no grievance against his parents. We are of the opinion that some counseling could be given to the young child, so that he may take a considered decision forever and in the interest his future.

4. We would request Ms.J.Ananadavalli, learned counsel with considerable experience, practising in Madurai High Court, having office address at No.85, Law Chambers, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, to give counseling to the boy and also his parents and also his younger brother, if required. She may find out the reason why the boy had taken this decision. She could also speak with the school authorities so that this affliction of running away does not repeat so far as this boy is concerned and the attitude of the Maths Teacher should not be affect other

children of the school, who are all of tender age. The learned counsel appointed by us may inform about the progress made by her on 03.09.2025 at 2.15 p.m. in the Chamber.

5. Post the matter on 03.09.2025 at 2.15 p.m. in the Chamber. The parents alone may appear on 03.09.2025 in the Chamber and the boy may be encouraged to resume going to school.''

2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court dated 01.09.2025, the parents of the young boy are present before this Court today, along with their counsel; and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is also present before this Court. Ms.J.Anandhavalli, learned counsel, who is also present before this Court, explained the counselling she had given to the young boy.

3. We are deeply grateful for the efforts taken by Ms.J.Anandhavalli, learned counsel, in conducting a counselling session with the boy who was brought before this Court on 01.09.2025. She also had an in-depth discussion with the parents of the young boy.

4. We are confident that the words of wisdom imparted by her will now guide him on a path where he no longer causes any apprehension in the minds of his parents. We have also been informed that the parents

have decided to admit him to another school at Aruppukottai, where his grandparents reside. This change in environment is expected to bring about a positive shift in his attitude and contribute to his reformation.

5. We further appreciate the commitment shown by Ms.J.Anandhavalli in offering to counsel him on a continuous basis. This would be of great help and support to him in the future.

6. We also place on record our appreciation for the efforts taken by Mr.A.Thiruvadikumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, in ensuring and impressing upon the respondents the importance of locating the whereabouts of the boy, bringing him before this Court, and guiding him on the right path forward.

7. No further directions are required in this Habeas Corpus Petition. This petition stands closed, as, even on 01.09.2025, we had recorded that the boy had agreed to go with his parents. [C.V.K., J.] [R.V., J.] 03.09.2025 smn2
