For Respondent : Mr.R.Meenakshi Sundaram Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.500/2021 on the file of the Respondent Police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 366 of IPC and Sections 5(1), 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences(POCSO) Act, in Crime No.500 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and the victim girl are neighbours. The petitioner has sexually abused the victim girl. Hence the complaint.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the statement of the victim girl under Section 164 of Cr.P.C., is recorded and that the medical tests are yet to be taken and that the investigation is at the initial stage.

CRL OP(MD). No.18330 of 2020 4.Considering the nature of the charges alleged against the petitioner and also the fact that the medical tests are yet to be taken, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
