O R D E R

The petitioner is aggrieved by the inclusion of his name in the rowdy list maintained by the third respondent. There is some conceptual doubt as to whether the petitioner is named in the history sheet or in the rowdy list. However in the proceedings, the word "Pokiri" is mentioned. It obviously means "rowdy". Be that as it may, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thiruchirappalli Sub Division, has ordered his retention on 31.12.2018.

2. Therefore, based on the available materials, the second respondent is mandated to review the matter as to whether the petitioner's name deserves to be retained in the list or not. Such an order shall be passed within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of on these terms. No costs.
