This Writ Petition is filed directing the second respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for his house site G.R.S.No.37/712 with the extent of 4 cents situated at Ward No.11, Periyar Street Natarasankottai Town, Sivagangai District, based on his application dated 03.08.2023.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, he has submitted an application dated 03.08.2023 to the revenue authorities requesting issuance of a Patta for his house site G.R.S.No.37/712 measuring an extent of 4 cents situated at Ward No.11, Periyar Street Natarasankottai Town, Sivagangai District. Despite the petitioner's application, the second respondent has not conducted any enquiry or taken steps to issue the patta, causing undue delay and prejudice to the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the petitioner's application will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 03.08.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of fourteen (14) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision.
