Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the petitioners name from History Sheet Opened in History Sheet No.89 of 2011 on the file of the 4th respondent office.

This petition has been filed to punish the contemnor/respondent for his willful disobedience and non compliance of the order, passed by this Court, made in W.P.No.10209 of 2021, dated 17.06.2021.W.P.(MD)No.7546 of 2019, dated 03.07.2020. 1/3
2.The matter is listed under the caption 'for reporting compliance'.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that now, steps have been taken for completing the formalities of such developing for which tender has been floated and for completing the process, it will take 9 months time.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is only oral.
5.It is verified through the official document. For which, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has circulated a letter dated 11.03.2022, which was written by the Director General of Police, Head of the Police Force, Tamil Nadu, Chennai-600 004. Wherein it has been stated that the Additional Director General of Police, State Crime Records Bureau, Chennai, has sent a letter dated 08.03.2022, stating that the tender has been floated for selection of a software developer for development of web based CCTNS application, by ELCOT. Now, the tender evaluation is in progress and is likely to be completed by mid of April 2022. Once the software developer is on board, the process of study of system requirements, development of application software including migration of old data from existing CCTNS database will be completed in 9 months. 6.A copy of the above said official document may served to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
7.Recording the above said submission of Director General of Police, Chennai, this Contempt Petition is disposed of. 8.If there is no development, the petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court, by way of filing second petition.
