ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner herein executed settlement deed in favour of his son. It was presented for registration. The registering authority declined to register the document on the ground that the revenue record does not exclusively reflect the name of the writ petitioner. Challenging the stand of the registering authority, this writ petition came to be filed. 3.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that in the patta, the names of the petitioner's vendors have been reflected. He would add that the writ petitioner filed O.S.No.104 of 2014 against the predecessors in title seeking the relief of specific performance and the matter was concluded in the writ petitioner's favour through a Lok Adalat 2/4

award. Copy of the Lok Adalat award has been enclosed in the typed set of papers. But the predecessors in title were also shown as the joint pattadhars.

4.Therefore, I am not in a position to interfere with the impugned order. The petitioner is given liberty to approach the registering authority after he obtains individual patta.

5.This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 17.10.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No MGA To 1.The District Registrar, Thoothukudi.
