The present writ petition has been filed seeking writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to extend the lease of fishery rights based on G.O.Ms.No.332, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (FS-IV) Department, dated 17.11.1993.

2. As per the request of the writ petitioner, he has sought for an extension of the lease for a further period of five years. As on today, the period for which extension was sought for has already expired. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has also passed away.

Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
