PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to make it mandatory for all the Doctors enrolled with them to participate in continuing medical education programmes and to issue digitally updated registration certificates to all the Doctors with their photos and current place of residence and current place of practice, consequently directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take necessary action against the Doctors who are contravening and violating the laws, Rules and regulations of Medical Council of India and the State Medical Council of Tamil Nadu. (Order of the Court was made by D. KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) Seeking a direction to make it mandatory for all the Doctors enrolled with them to participate in continuing medical education programmes and to issue digitally updated registration certificates to all the Doctors with their photos and current place of residence and current place of practice and also seeking a direction to take necessary action against the 2/5

Doctors, who are contravening and violating the laws, Rules and regulations of Medical Council of India and the State Medical Council of Tamil Nadu, the petitioner made a representation, dated 18.06.2018 to the respondents. Till date, no action has been taken. Hence, this writ petition. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.Considering the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the claim made by the petitioner, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.06.2018 on merits and in accordance with law. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
