This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the FIR in Crime No.2 of 2021 registered on the file of the first respondent.
2.The defacto complainant/Pavithraa is the wife of the first petitioner herein. She is present before this Court in person. She has been duly identified by Mrs.M.Petchiammal, WHC 1281, attached to first respondent police station. The parties have also filed a memo of joint compromise. Now the defacto complainant and the first petitioner have reunited and they are living under the same roof. Crl.O.P(MD)No.18380 of 2021 Court that she does not want to pursue the complaint. Since the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement, no purpose will be served in keeping the impugned prosecution alive. The impugned FIR is quashed. The Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
