issue the renewed passport bearing passport number J7691247 to the petitioner forthwith.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the first respondent dated 04.07.2025 and consequential direction to the first respondent to consider the same and issue the renewed passport bearing passport number J7691247 to the petitioner forthwith.

2. The petitioner has filed an application for issuance of fresh passport on 18.06.2025 after the petitioner's original passport expired on 16.08.2021. Meanwhile, the petitioner has been arrayed as sole accused pursuant to an FIR registered in Crime No.67 of 2021 dated 19.02.2021 on the file of the second respondent for offences under Sections 294(b), 447, 427, 506(2) of the IPC. 2/5

3. The learned Government Advocate for the second respondent confirms that a charge sheet has been filed and taken on record in C.C.No.339 of 2023 before the Judicial Magistrate II, Nagercoil.

4. Considering the same, there is no scope for issuing a direction to the first respondent to process the petitioner's passport application. It is suffice to state that it is open to the petitioner to move suitable application to facilitate the first respondent to process the passport application.
