PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for records pertaining to the Charge Sheet in C.C. No.40 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam under Section 294 (b), 324 & 506 (ii) of I.P.C and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act 2002 and Quash the same as against this petitioner.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the Charge Sheet in C.C. No.40 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant, who is the second respondent herein, the case was registered in Crime No.253 of 2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 324 & 506(ii) of IPC and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Now it is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam in C.C.No.40 of 2023 for trial. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner has filed the petition seeking quashement of the C.C.No.30 of 2023, he will be satisfied if a direction issued to the concerned trial Court to expedite the trial process to complete the same within the time stipulated by this Court. 4.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, 2/4

there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.40 of 2023 and dispose of the same within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
