O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioners.

2. Issuance of notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

3. The plaintiffs in O.S.No.55 of 2024 on the file of the Sub Court, Devakottai are the revision petitioners herein.

4. The petitioners seeks speedy disposal of the petition-mentioned suit. In normal circumstances, this Court would refuse to issue such a direction because the suit has been instituted only in the year 2024. The direction for speedy disposal is issued only if the suit is more than five years old. However, in this case the facts are something special. The case involves renovation of a temple. The petitioner states that idols have been kept in what is known as Balalayam. Such state of affairs cannot go for long.

5. The Court below is directed to bear in mind the time line set out

3 C.R.P.(MD)No.2192 of 2024 in Order VIII Rule 1 of CPC. The Court below shall not grant time for filing written statement for the asking. The defendants shall be directed to file their written statement by the next hearing date. If any IA is filed, it shall be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I am conscious that the Sub Court, Devakottai is loaded with work.

6. Taking into account the fact that the case on hand involves the interest of a temple, the Court below may consider expediting the disposal of the suit. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. This civil revision petition stands disposed of.
